For the launch of Armadillo’s ‘Gaia’ collection — a collaboration with Catalonian artist Carla Cascales Alimbau — Revolutionary Lighting designed the lighting for an immersive pop-up gallery in SoHo. At its center stood a breathtaking sculpture woven from 10,000 pounds of yarn, surrounded by walls draped in Armadillo’s handcrafted rugs.
The lighting approached the space like a fine-art installation rather than an event: precise, theatrical fixtures carefully modeled the sculpture’s cascading texture and ombré tones, while controlled pools of warm light brought out the weave and color of each rug without overwhelming the gallery’s quiet, natural palette. The result let light and shadow do what the collection intended — reveal texture, honor craft, and let the work breathe.
A celebration of texture, light, and artistry. Lighting Design by Revolutionary Lighting, in partnership with Devlins and producer Invisible North.
